Ski and snowboard

In Zermatt you can experience perfect ski days with many kilometres of slopes, cross-border runs, a lot of sun and fantastic snow. 360 kilometres of slopes in the international ski domain offer wonderful views, as well as atmosphere, culture and superior gastronomy. For skiers and snowboarders, in the winter season the Riffelalp is a dream. A more perfect ski-in, ski-out location hardly exists, as the ski slopes go directly past the hotel. Forget shuttle buses and long queues; just step onto your skis at the front door and off you go. Our own ski shop can help you with questions about sports equipment and our guide, Yann, is on hand to point you in the direction of the best slopes and the best ski lodges.

Snow-shoeing

It's not all about skiing. If you want to experience winter at its best, strap on a pair of snow shoes and set out on a snow shoe hike. The sign-posted snow shoe trails at Gornergrat offer the finest views of the Matterhorn, far from the hustle and bustle of the ski slopes.

Tobogganing at Rotenboden
