How can we help?

If you’re preparing for a visit to Riffelalp Resort 2222m, there are a few extra logistical considerations you might be wondering about given the nature of our resort. For every question you might have, our reception team will be only too happy to help with answers. However, we’ve compiled this page if you need to check something at a glance.

Getting here and arrival

  • Travel to Zermatt, then take the Gornergrat Railway to Riffelalp station. From there, you’ll travel the last leg of the journey by tram in summer or on foot via a short walk in winter. For more details, check our ‘Getting here’ page.

  • No, both Riffelalp Resort 2222m and Zermatt, our nearest village, are completely car-free. If you’re arriving by car, park in Täsch and continue by shuttle train to Zermatt.

  • No, but we can reserve a parking spot in Täsch for guests. From here, it’s a short shuttle to Zermatt, where you can connect to Riffelalp by train. For more details and train times, check our ‘Getting here’ page.

  • Our porter will meet you in Zermatt to help transfer your luggage. It will be transported by tram in summer and by skidoo in winter. Do take this into consideration when selecting your bags.

  • You can view the full timetable for connections to Riffelalp.

  • Yes, the last train up the mountain to Riffelalp station is at 23:30 from Zermatt.

  • Check-in at Riffelalp Resort 2222m is from 15:00 on the day of arrival and before 12:00 on the day of your departure. We strongly recommend you get in touch with our team and advise us when you intend to arrive at the resort.

Accommodation and inclusions

  • Many of our 65 rooms and suites enjoy views of the Matterhorn. Our accommodation pages clearly explain which categories have balconies and their views.

  • All stays include a hearty buffet breakfast, access to our wellness centre and selected seasonal activities.

  • Yes! We welcome guests of every age, and some of our room categories and suites are ideal for families. For young children, we have a kindergarten in winter, babysitting facilities, a playground and a special kids’ table.   • It is! We love dogs here. If you plan to bring your pooch, just let us know when you book and we’ll make sure we have a basket and bowls ready for them. Please note that we can’t allow them in Restaurant Alexandre or the wellness areas for hygiene reasons.
